ITC’s Packaging and Printing Business’ (PPB) Haridwar unit won the ‘ Gold Award ’ in the  CII-Northern Region Green Practices Award-2022  and was also declared the winner in ‘ Best Practices for Water Conservation ’ category for Large Industries. ITC-PPB Haridwar delivered impressive reduction of 18.1% in its specific water consumption (water consumed per ton of production) and 35.4% reduction in specific hazardous waste generation (haz. waste per ton of production). The unit also achieved over 3.7% reduction in its specific electricity consumption and 1.5% in its specific thermal energy consumption during the assessment period. This is the highest number of awards won by a single India company this year, and an unprecedented achievement for a packaging company.
