Rhea Distilleries Partners with Frugalpac and ITC | India’s First Paper Bottle for Feni
In a landmark step towards sustainable packaging in India , Rhea Distilleries has partnered with Frugalpac (UK) and ITC’s Packaging and Printing Business to introduce the Frugal Bottle —the world’s first commercially available paper bottle —for its iconic Fidalgo Premium Cashew Feni . This innovation makes Rhea Distilleries the first Indian brand to adopt paper bottle packaging, redefining sustainability in the country’s growing beverage industry. The Frugal Bottle , made from 94% recycled paperboard with a food-grade liner , is five times lighter than glass and has a carbon footprint up to six times lower , making it easy to recycle and efficient to transport. Through this collaboration, ITC and Frugalpac plan to indigenize production , explore local assembly of Frugal Bottle machines , and strengthen India’s circular economy —all aligned with ITC’s Sustainability 2.0 agenda .
