ITC Haridwar Unit Sets Sustainability Benchmark with Double Win at CII Green Practices Awards 2022

 In a remarkable achievement that reinforces its leadership in sustainable packaging, ITC’s Packaging and Printing Business (PPB) Haridwar unit has earned the distinguished ‘Gold Award’ at the CII-Northern Region Green Practices Award 2022. Additionally, it was declared the winner in the ‘Best Practices for Water Conservation’ category for large industries—underscoring the unit’s unwavering commitment to environmental sustainability.

During the assessment period, the Haridwar unit achieved significant improvements:

• 18.1% reduction in specific water consumption per ton of production

• 35.4% reduction in specific hazardous waste generation

• 3.7% drop in specific electricity consumption

• 1.5% reduction in thermal energy usage
